Abhimanyu has completed his law from Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai University in 2015 after pursuing the V year B.L.S. L.L.B integrated law course, and has over 5 (five) years of legal experience as a trainee and an associate at Indian Law Partners. Abhimanyu has assisted in a wide range of assignments involving significant Indian corporate and commercial laws, including in cross border commercial transactions (acquisitions, joint ventures and business alliances), corporate restructurings, real estate transactions, foreign investments in and outbound investments from India.
Abhimanyu’s experience includes assisting and advising KIA Motor Corporation (South Korea) on its USD 2 billion greenfield automotive cluster in India; Nippon Paper (Japan) with regard to its acquisition of India’s largest maker of paper beverage cups Plus Paper Foodpac; Merlin Entertainments plc (United Kingdom) in relation to its business operations in India; Toshiba Corporation (Japan) with regard to its investment in an Indian company engaged in water and waste water treatment; Arab Bank plc (Bahrain) as a lender in relation to a guarantee from an Indian company; BlueScope Steel (Australia) in its joint venture with TATA Steel Limited; SMAAASH Entertainment Private Limited (India) in relation to its equity related transactions; Japan Bank for International Cooperation (Japan) in relation to its ongoing debt related matters; GE India Industrial Private Limited/ Wipro GE Healthcare Private Limited (India) in relation to real estate due diligence on properties proposed to be occupied on leave and license basis; Developer Group India Private Limited in relation to various real estate development and management projects across India; STADA Arzneimittel AG (Germany) in relation to its business operations in India; L’Occitane en Provence (France) in relation to its investment in a domestic e-commerce platform; Microsoft Corporation (India and USA) on intellectual property and cyber security related matters; a United Kingdom based visual effects and animation company with regard to its due diligence of an Indian company being acquired by the foreign entity; and DIL Limited (India) on a real estate project.
