Nishant is a qualified lawyer admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi and holds a degree in B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, graduating in 2015 after pursuing the five year integrated course. Nishant also holds a certification from the Centre for Advanced Studies and Research in Intellectual Property from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Nishant has experience in advising on and executing diverse matters including civil and criminal litigation, arbitration, intellectual property, corporate, commercial, and regulatory advisory, joint ventures, private equity investments, cross border commercial transactions, power purchase transactions, and employment law. He has also appeared before and assisted in various proceedings before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Rajasthan (Jaipur), district and state consumer forums, and arbitral forums.

Nishant’s experience also includes assisting and advising IEG Turkey and EPLAN Germany in setting up their respective Indian subsidiaries; Geltec Private Limited (India) and Universal Medicare Private Limited (India) in relation to their business operations in India; Developer Group India Private Limited (India) in relation to a land development project in India; Merlin Entertainments plc (United Kingdom) with regards to setting up its Indian subsidiary and Madame TussaudsTM in India; Nippon Paper (Japan) with regard to its acquisition of India’s largest maker of paper beverage cups Plus Paper Foodpac; BlueScope Steel Limited (Australia) in matters relating to its joint venture with Tata Steel Limited in India; U-SHIN Ltd (Japan) in relation to its joint venture in India; and Soktas Tekstil Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi (Turkey) in relation to its business operations in India; Japan Bank for International Cooperation (Japan) in relation to its ongoing debt related matters; and Interserve plc with the due diligence in relation to sale of part of its business including an Indian company.
